Why You Should Consider Disney Lawsuits

If you are looking for information on Disney lawsuits, then you have reached the right place. This article is meant to be a short guide to Disney lawsuits so that you can be aware of what to do if you find yourself in one and what not to do if you do get sued. The main goal here is to make sure that you do not end up spending money without even knowing it.

The Orlando Sentinel recently reported that Property Appraiser Rick Singh said that the Disney theme park was overvalued for many years.

In a July court hearing in Florida, Singh, was quoted as saying, “If I had my choice, I would give my money to Wal-Mart or the orange county property market.” According to the Orlando Sentinel’s story, Singh listed the assessable value for the magic kingdom’s biggest show and attraction at about $ 504 million. Unfortunately for the plaintiff, that particular piece of information was not allowed by the court to be used in the lawsuit.

On another note, let us consider one of the most famous lines in the movie, The Secret.

When Donald Duck buys Figaro’s skull, he says that he will have none of his profits. However, the last thing that Figaro wants is a bunch of personal injury lawsuits. It should be noted that the phrase “figaro” does not actually mean an Italian word, but rather an Irish term. Some lawyers have made note that the phrase was originally intended to mean “dear.”

Now, back to the lawsuits themselves.

A Florida county called the Orlando City Schools had been found to have been guilty of brutality and excessive force when dealing with students and parents who visit the Magic Kingdom. An eleven year old boy was beaten badly by several school employees. Another case involved a fourteen-year-old boy being pepper-sprayed by security guards at Disney. He later died from the injuries he sustained.

As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, the parents of one of those children are now planning a class-action lawsuit against Walt Disney World, alleging that their son died because of the negligence of WDW.

In the case, they are accusing Walt Disney of knowing about the dangers of the entertainment park, yet failing to take measures to prevent the incident from occurring. The lawsuits also claim that Walt Disney World knew about a lack of safety rules for Disney guests, yet did nothing to correct that problem. Hopefully, this new case will prompt local governments to take a more aggressive stance on these types of accidents, saving many more lives in the process.

In addition to the legal aspects of Disney lawsuits, there are also the economics of such things.

Disney sells its tickets very cheaply, especially during the hotter summer months. A bunch of careless mistakes can easily wipe out an entire year’s income. For families who lose a loved one to a tragic accident caused by Disney negligence, it is important to remember that life is still far more fun when you’ve got a wide array of friends to share it with. Consider joining other families who are pursuing justice and fair play by filing for personal injury lawsuits against Walt Disney World or any other Florida or Orlando theme park.
